The Nixa Xpress is the new generation of the Nixa News-Enterprise. Officially, the product still carries both names, but the Nixa Xpress is front and center for a product serving what has been the fastest growing community in the fastest growing county in Missouri. (That honor of "fastest growing" has been traded back and forth between Nixa and neighboring Ozark in recent years.)
The Xpress is a free circulation newspaper distributed each Friday via requester model through the U.S. Postal Service and on newsstands at many locations throughout Nixa. It is also published online at NixaXPress.com with frequent updates for breaking news.

The printed product is compact in size and produced with a youthful design edge, including strong coverage of Nixa schools, city government, community news, and area entertainment options.

The Xpress model has been in circulation since August 2006. The News-Enterprise became part of Community Publishers, Inc., in 2001, and now operates as part of the company's newspaper division, Neighbor Newspapers, which includes seven sister publications surrounding Springfield.

In 2007, the Nixa Chamber of Commerce honored the Xpress as Nixa Chamber Member of the Year and Impact Business of the Year, making it the first business to win both honors in the same year. The previous flag certainly won its share of awards, too, being honored four out of five years as the best in general excellence in its division of the Missouri Press Association, in addition to many other awards.
